North Carolina legislators have declared Jackson County the state’s Premier Trout Fishing Destination. The county is home to the nation’s only fly fishing trail – the Western North Carolina Fly Fishing Trail. You can enjoy fishing the Tuckasegee River and many high mountain lakes and streams. The Cherokee Indian Reservation people are proud of their Oconaluftee River with 30 miles of clean, clear, well-stocked river running through the Qualla Boundary.
If you have any questions about the area please contact one of our Western North Carolina REALTORS®. We list and sell real estate in Jackson County and the surrounding areas with fantastic riverfront locations, in the best gated communities and on some of the most beautiful mountain lakes. We look forward to working with you!
