The Polar Express Train Ride
The 1¼ hour round-trip excursion comes to life as the train departs the Bryson City depot for a journey through the quiet wilderness for a special visit at the North Pole. Set to the sounds of the motion picture soundtrack, guests on board will enjoy warm cocoa and a treat while listening and reading along with the magical story.

Brevard’s Thanksgiving Gallery Walk – 11/24
Enjoy an evening stroll in downtown Brevard, NC as you explore the art galleries, art stores, retail stores and restaurants that are staying open late from 5 pm -8 pm. Experience art, music and wine. Make an evening of it and stop by and have dinner in one of our downtown restaurants. Bryson City Spirit Of Christmas – 11/25
Carol with Santa from the caboose at Everett Street to the town square for the town Christmas Tree lighting ceremony. Afterwards step across the street to the Visitor Center for hot cocoa and cookies, letter writing to Santa, and a visit with St. Nick himself! In the true Spirit of Christmas bring a canned good to donate to the food pantry or a new unwrapped gift for for the local toy drive! More Info

Waynesville “HOLLY DAYS” – 12/1-12/4
Begins with ART after DARK on Friday evening, followed by seasonal events throughout the weekend ending with the Christmas Parade on Monday night at 6pm on Main Street. Dec 4 – Mon Night – Waynesville CHRISTMAS PARADE on Main Street 6pm. More Info
